What to wear now! Mid-Fashion Week Looks
Fall has just arrived at our doorstep but we are in the middle of a fashion whirlwind known as Fashion Week! With the Gucci kick-off in Milan, we wanted to bring your focus back to what to wear now. We're seeing all the Spring/Summer trends for 2018 but you're still prepping for fall 2017.
Here are the top 5 shoe silhouettes to get into to update your shoe closet.
1. The Slouchy Boot
Oh, the ever popular Stuart Weitzman Highland and Lowlands have been on our radar for a few too many seasons already. With a super sleek silhouette, we are all ready to loosen up and have some fun with our boots in a very 80's inspired trend: the slouchy boot. YSL does it best with their rhinestone-encrusted gem made famous by Riri but since most of us don't live such rockstar lives, we opt for a classic smooth leather black.
2. The Two-Tone Boot
Thanks to Chanel the resurgence of the ladylike cap-toe is back. With modern fashion in mind, the two-tone design is now showing up on blogger's feet everywhere as suede boots. With a more casual but still super chic vibe, the boots add some serious elegance to our daily looks.
Don't run out and buy the Chanel boots just yet! Try out the trend with our very own two-tone boot before you commit to the high price tag.
3. The Combat Boot
The combat boot is essentially a staple in our closets and considered a classic. However, we are seeing celebrities embrace the unexpected details and twists added to combat boots to really differentiate from the old 90's grunge look. We have spotted Bella in bright yellow Dr.Martens and countless bloggers in the beautiful Chanel combat boots with its ultra-feminine pearl details.
As we are sure you have your basic combat or military-inspired boot covered, we encourage you to add some trendy combat boots to your closet without breaking the bank. Dr. Marten's always has new collections in fun designs. You can also add our Knock 'em Dead boots with kickass metal captoe to your collection. You can never have too many boots.
4. Shoes with Detail Overload
Thanks to Gucci and it's complex and awe-inspiring designs, we have come to embrace the maximalist in us once again. Gone are the shoes that are too simple. We crave details and insane amounts of it.
But seriously, don't shell out your hard-earned dough for a trend that will last only 1-2 seasons. You want to find some babies that will keep your sandals updated but not break your bank.
5. The Continuation of Velvet
We've seen velvet in last year's fall and winter seasons but velvet is back and now they're on our feet too. You might think velvet is a bit tough to wear so close to the ground but it's not any trickier than suede! There is never to much velvet for this season. You can wear it head-to-toe and be totally relevant for 2017.
